This morning on the way to work I listened to a tape that I hadn’t dusted off in years. Mostly because, in the age of the mp3, who the hell still uses audio cassettes?

Saturday night a friend texted me and said one of the Beastie Boys had died. Adam ‘MCA’ Yauch. I knew the husky-voiced rapper had been battling cancer for a few years now, though had never actually thought about him succumbing to it.

walkman from awkward teenage years that i've recently started using again because my mp3 player died. this also means i have to listen to mixtapes from awkward teenage years. luckily, as a teen, i listened to better music than i do now.



my boyfriend's desk dinosaur. i have no idea why he fitted her with a shakespearean ruff, but i'm still very fond of her.

i bought a beautiful handmade notebook from a fair at my brother's special needs school. all the pages are brightly coloured paper, and BRILLIANT to doodle on with a black gel pen!
